This year I’m really excited to be attending the Country Living Spring Fair where I will personally be selling directly to you wonderful lot for the first time ever!
Long have I been a fan of country living magazine. Curling up in my sunny bay window at home while flicking through it’s pages of perfectly arranged casual beauty with a hot cup of tea and something I know I shouldn’t really be eating is just about one of my favourite pastimes. I’ve been lucky enough to work with Country Living magazine in the past couple of years on a few different levels and they really are some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met.
The fairs are a great way to experience all the other aspects of the magazine. Held over 5 days from the 18th to the 22nd of March in London, there’s so much going on – I honestly had no idea how much is actually going on until I looked this morning – I’m kind of disappointed I’ll be on a stand for most of it! To list a few – there’s the Green and blacks taste experience, champagne bar, craft and create rooms… there’s even a bunting competition! It’s like you will be able to physically step inside the magazine for the day!
It’s a fantastic shopping event which I can account for first hand having done a lot of my christmas shopping the past two years at the London Christmas fair on the gala evening (which involves a complimentary glass of wine – notorious for making my purse stings extra loose). There will be loads of lovely stuff from British designers and makers with lots of inspiring stands.
Rustic Lace Dinnerware
I’m going to be launching my brand new collection of tableware – Rustic Lace – to the public for the first time at the Spring Fair. Made from terracotta with a lovely off-white glaze, this is quite a different collection for Katie Alice and I’m super excited for it to arrive – which will be just a week before the show! Visitors at the show will be the first people to be able to get there hands on Rustic Lace – even I don’t have any yet!
We will be doing a special offer exclusive to visitors at the show where you will be able to buy a complete set of the dinnerware for a special price and have it posted to your address for free the week after the show so you won’t have to carry it around all day! More details on this offer to follow in the next week!
Apart form the shopping there is also a theatre hall where live talks and discussions will be held all week featuring advice on everything from choosing the right paint colour for your home to rearing your own livestock. I’ll be speaking on a panel here! Wednesday is Build-a-business day which will be full of talks and advice from the likes of Sophie Conran, Liz Earle and Sophie Allport (and me) to name a few on how to make your dream business come to life – you can catch me here at 3:15pm on Wednesday 18th.
And then there is the thing that I think I am the most excited about of all – there will be actual real lambs in the Spring Garden at the fair for you to feed , instagram and generally get overwhelmingly soppy over for reasons you don’t even understand. ACTUAL REAL LAMBS! LOOK! This is Fiona and Sam, they were there last year!
If you would like to come (I’d love you to come!) then please use my exclusive booking code - S15EX46 – to receive 10% off the ticket price when booking on their website and you can take a look at my exhibitor profile here
