Setting a Festive Pink and Green Table for Christmas

Christmas dinner has to be my favourite dinner of the year! A beautifully laid table packed with wine, candles, flowers and of course family. A meal that has been lovingly prepared by many a hand. Crackers are ready to pop. Bad jokes are ready to tell.

Dinnerware

This year we are loving the pink and green trend for a Festive tablescape. It’s been such a beautiful interiors trend and we think it translates beautifully for the Christmas table. We’ve paired our pretty pink Josie’s Blush dinnerware with some forest green table linens to achieve the look.

Table Linen

Our tablecloth is actually a linen curtain from The Secret Linen Store which we have adapted to create not just a tablecloth, but also 4 napkins. Their linen is super soft and creates the most gorgeous backdrop for our super white ceramics. We also found this to be much cheaper than an actual tablecloth and napkin set! And what is more festive than the deep, pine-green table linen at Christmas? We’ve simply tied our napkins in a loose knot and tucked in a piece of foraged pine.

Flowers

To dress the table with flowers we have added a selection of small glass bud vases – you can find similar at one of my favourite local businesses Haus Of Botanica. Fill these with some delicate pink blooms and some green foliage and dot them around the table. It’s tempting to go for a great big floral display on the table at Christmas, but unless you’re purposely trying to hide from your Aunt Mavis’s judgey glare as you top up your wine, then they really do just get in the way.

And the rest…

Tall candlesticks in a mix of greens and pinks will look just the part here. You can go for a mix of short or tall candlestick holders. Another local company that often has a great selection is Iris and Violet. I also added some glittery stars on the table to add a subtle bit of sparkle – these were from Cox and Cox last year.

And don’t forget the crackers! One year I’m going to find the time to make my own cloth reusable ones using this handy tutorial.

And of course glasses! We’ve used our favourite etched ombre set.

So there you have it. A pretty pink and green Christmas table. With elements that you will be able to carry on using all year, but when put together with the right accessories, are perfectly festive!
