THIS SPRING I AM TOTALLY CRUSHING ON THE NEW PASTEL COLOURS FROM THE CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL COMPANY.
Having always been a bit of satchel fan, the release of these beautiful handmade bags in mint green, pale lemon and candy pink literally couldn’t be any further up my street other than if they came filled with whippet puppies and ice-cream.
Julie dean and her mum set up the Cambridge Satchel Company in 2008 to help pay school fees, starting with a tiny budget of just £600. 7 years on and they have moved well on from the kitchen table and blossomed into a multi million pound business with a workshop of over 70 employees making all their quality satchels in the UK. It’s a very inspirational story of how a small idea born out of necessity and started at home can grow into an amazing, hugely respected business now shipping all over the world. Hat’s off guys!
I’m now starting the agonising process of deciding which colour and style to pick…
