This year I was flattered to be asked by local business Scotts of Thrapston if I would like to work with them on their beautiful summer houses for their stand at the RHS 2014 chelsea flower show. I’ve been desperate to go to the flower show for a long time but my sieve-like memory prevents me from buying tickets every year so the chance to be involved as well as finally being able to go was an excitably welcome offer . Scott’s of Thrapston are a family run company that were founded almost 100 years ago making bespoke timber products so it’s lovely opportunity to work with them. Together we decided that each of the summer houses would be based around one of the Katie Alice ranges, so I created a theme for each one and styled the houses with a mix of Katie Alice products and vintage paraphernalia to suit each setting.

After a long hot day of setting up I managed to ditch the compulsory high-vis and steel toecap boots and sneek into town for a fittingly floral-themed cocktail of elderflower and gin fizz bestie.
Since I took these photos there have been fresh flowers added and landscaping done around the stand so I’m super excited to see how it looks on Thursday now the show is open!
