New products and a spring mixtape

Spring is here! Well, if you ignore the random blizzards we’ve been getting in between the sunny spells. That’s quite enough now, thank you snow.

We have tulips and magnolia flowering in the garden and the crab apple is covered in little buds ready to explode in a riot of hot pink… I’m so excited!

Spring is just the energy we all need at the moment, after a winter that could only be described as drab at best! It won’t be long until it’s time to pull out the summer dresses and put the winter knitwear away. I can almost hear the beer gardens calling me and my vintage Laura Ashley dress.

New Products For Spring

We have launched some beautiful new Made in England products over the last couple of weeks, including our Forest Fling mugs, the English Roses mug and a beautiful array of tea towels – one for each of our best-selling collections. We’re so proud of these little collections as our first launches under the new business set up!

We also have lots more stock coming very soon of all of our current collections, including so gorgeous new additions.

Some Spring Music

I made a spring mixtape! I love putting together little seasonal playlists of things I’m enjoying listening to – they’re so great to listen back to a few years later. I wish I still had all the cassette mixtapes I made as a teenager, I’d love to hear what I put on them now. Music has such a magical way of taking you right back to a certain moment in time. And even though that moment in time might just be at home, staying safe at the moment, that’s okay.

I kinda love this mixtape. I haven’t made one in a while and it’s nice to listen to something other than Frozen, Moana or Peppa Pig…  It has some new, recent and proper oldies on it, and it’s pretty dreamy. There are some slightly psychedelic inspired tracks, so chilled tracks and a couple of upbeat numbers, and a whole lot of amazing female artists. I had to throw in Gloria as a tribute to It’s a Sin which I’ve basically had stuck in my head on repeat since watching it.

I hope you like it and it gives you an hour and half of loveliness for your ears and mind. Perfect for background work music or a slow weekend breakfast playlist.

A little Spring joy

For some extra floral prettiness, here are a handful of Instagram accounts I’m loving at this time of the year –

I always loved Chloe’s beautiful photos and she’s recently started posting some craft idea videos that I have saved for rainy days. She’s the primary school teacher you hope your kid gets.

Charlotte’s account is a vision of gingham and retro florals in the prettiest pastel colour palette. An excellent place for spring outfit inspo

Hannah is an interiors and events stylist that just also happens to be the queen of decluttering. Her fresh nest challenges are great to join in with to give your home a clear out – literally the perfect activity for spring! I’m keenly following along with her static caravan reno at the moment which I know is going to be amazing.

I’m fairly sure if you like Katie Alice then you’ll love Pippa’s pretty Instagram account. There you will find flowers from her allotment and beautifully styled photos from her shoots for Period Living magazine.
